Multi-Network Requirements over Multi Bearer

Though the PDX will likely answer my solution, I am after a more scalable/modular/bespoke option for some customer requirement. In sum, corporate side they are after 3 to 4 LANS:

  1. Corporate (Org sensitive Wired) - Encrypted prior to transmission (Encryption Cradle only) - 100 users
  2. Corporate (Open Wired/Wifi) Office 50 - 250 users
  3. Guest WiFi (5 areas/PoPS)
  4. Optional LAN expansions

The available networks/IBOO will be selected from LEO (Starlink/Kuiper/OneWeb); Other Satcom (Intelsat, Viasat); 4/5G; MPLS/IPLC/DIA

I will look to build each bespoke network into a transportable U-Case

Additionally, we offer Office on the Go for our C-Suite, so the ability to have a vehicle systems, BR? would allow WiFi in a vehicle with LEO/LTE options.

I have searched through the forums, and there are some similar, but they are older topics so expect tech has moved on.

Any links to a suitable case study would be great, I can then take to Visio

I’ve built quite a few portable solutions in the past. The beauty of the peplink tech is that it is very modular. You can have a core device and add other peplinsk to it to increase the WAN count or to access wireless networks see Adams crazy 100 WANS case study here 100 WANs of Ultimate Performance - Peplink

Personally I would recommend the BR2 Pro or HD2 MBX 5G as the core device for portable use, then deploy transit duos or BR1 Pro 5Gs as the smaller bolt on WAN capacity options.

With a bit of thought and planning, every single case could be self contained then when deployed and tagged correctly in incontrol you could assign one as the primary gateway and the rest as its WANs quite easily.

I would typically breakout https://app.diagrams.net/ at this stage and start throwing together block diagrams for the different use cases, then after I would use my library of peplink devices and drop the most appropriate models in.

Then I would look at the use cases, find overlap and make a decision about which models could be lower or higher spec and become multi-purpose / multi-use case.

Happy to do it as a project with you if you like. Drop me a PM.

Martin,

VMT for your advice and links - some of your pages actually came up in my research online so I must be doing something right. I will take your process onboard with the team when we hit the whiteboard, but will reach out if needed.

Regards use cases, I think this will be a combination of a few to make a Metropolitan/Multi-campus type network
