Mounting Peplink 42G Antenna to Airstream

I have a 27-foot Flying Cloud FBQ (2024).

A couple of Airstream options that I added that change the base layout are:

- Two GE air conditioners (instead of one)
- Standing desk. This option places the desk across from the kitchen, just to the left of the Norcold fridge. It reduces the roadside dinette bench by about a third, but I think it’s a great add since I work while camping.

I also had the dealer install may Starlink dish to the roof, and since I have the desk, they ran the dish cable down through the roof behind the fridge to under the desk.

All my networking stuff lives under my desk. My Peplink BR1 Pro 5G router is mounted there. I bought this last month and I’m loving this router. So much easier to configure than my last one.

I have the router set up for dual WAN with Starlink and cellular 5G/LTE. This is working fine, but the signals could be better.

Enter the Peplink 42G, which I just bought but haven’t mounted yet.

I’d like to get some pointers and opinions on how best to mount this antenna and route the cables back beside the fridge to where my router lives, bearing in mind that the maximum cable length is 16 feet.

My initial approach was going to be:

- Drill a 1-11/16 inch hole directly into the Airstream roof near the back of the fridge.
- Pass the cable through
- Flat mount the antenna directly to the roof using the 3M tape provided with the antenna
- Seal around the antenna with Dicor
- Fish the cable from behind the fridge. I'm hoping that it is a straight drop from the roof and that I will be able to see the cable from the access panel in the cabinet under the fridge
- If I can fish the cable, then pass it to the left where the desk is

Is this the best way of doing this? Can I easily access the cable from behind the fridge, or do I have to pull it out? Does anyone know how to pull the Norcold fridge out?

I appreciate everyone’s thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.
