MHS291L with Surf On-The-Go

I saw the thread here:

Where a new firmware is required for the SOHO to support the MHS291L. Is a newer firmware than 1.0.22 required for the On-The-Go to support the MHS291L? As it is, I am seeing the same symptom as the above thread mentions.
