MAX MK2 boot loop cycle

Hi all, I have an MK2 that is just over 13 months old now (literally just outside of warranty) and the device just decided to give me a hard red status light yesterday. A soft reset (5-7 seconds) did nothing.

I performed a hard reset (20-20-20) and got it to boot up and give me a green status light along with a green WiFi light but then about 60 seconds later the Status light turned solid red again.

2 minutes later Status light was back to green, with green WiFi light for 60 seconds again before status light turned red again. It’s been going through this red-green-red cycle (which is what I would assume is a boot cycle) for over an hour. I’ve tried hard resetting 3 times now. Any ideas?

What really bothers me is that this is the 6th time I’ve had a MAX device fail on me within the first 18 months of ownership. Twice was within the initial 1 year warranty period but the other 4 (if we include this one) were all outside warranty. This is the first time I’ve had a device go through a boot cycle loop like this though so I’m hoping there is a way to work with it somehow. Thanks in advance.

New update: MK2 is now showing a steady green status but WiFi and Cellular lights are off. The local tech does not have a way to connect via network cable, we were relying on the WiFi network to log in to the admin console. Device shows offline on InControl so likely that status light is correct, no connection on cellular network. Tech can’t see any WiFi networks being broadcast locally either.

New update: solution. Power supply was replaced and device booted up properly after about 30 minutes. Looks like a power supply issue the entire time. Might have been the case with the other devices as well just never tested that…. definitely something I’ll keep in mind for next time

came here to say could be the power supply. if that is the case you should check your electrical, wiring, surge suppression, and ensure you aren’t frying electronics unnecessarily.
