How to configure 2 pcs. Starlink WAN with load balancing to distribute traffic over both links
- Power on peplink
- Plug in Starlinks
- Login to Peplink and configure WAN ports as Starlink type.
Done.
If you want more control of how traffic gets distributed add outbound policies.
Thanks, but where in the GUI do you configure the STARLINK type, I can’t find such a function unfortunately.
The ship reports unstable STARLINK after I installed the Peplink router, the link goes down and is gone for 5-10 minutes at times.
I’m going on board tomorrow morning to troubleshoot
Thanks Martin,
When I try to log in via Incontrol 2 and Remote Dashboard, I don’t get in and get the following message. Unable to connect the device!
What am I missing in the setup?
Is the device showing as online? If it is, then you remote web admin traffic could be blocked in some way.
We can see that your incontrol traffic is being sent via your Peplink device in norway which suggests that remote web admin traffic is being sent via the vpn tunnel and perhaps being blocked there…
If you can’t get to the BR2 web admin interface then you could temporarily disable the VPN tunnel on the norway device which will cause the remote web admin session to be built direct over the starlink and then you’ll get access.
I’ll try this tomorrow when I’m entering the vessel
Hi Martin, WAY off topic here, but what tool are you using to screen cap and annotate? I’ve been doing screen prints, using mspaint, etc. and it sucks for convenience, but is functional.

Snagit. And Camtasia for video capture. Both are very good. TechSmith Snagit | Screen capture and screen recording
HI Arve
We have been using the Starlink High Performance Flat Panel Antenna with the BR2 Pro and we have had issues with some of our routers where the Starlink is using the WAN1 port. Peplink have said there is an issue with negotiation between the 2.5GBps interface and Starlink. If you experience issues with connectivity on WAN1 the you should try using a LAN port as ‘Vlan as WAN’ to see if that makes any difference.
