Max BR1 Pro 5G- weekly Wifi-WAN driver hang

I have an open ticket on this, figured I’d check if any other users are experiencing a similar issue. Support seems to be completely drawing a blank when I describe it as a “hang” or “driver stall”. They tried taking a stab at signal levels being too high/low (this doesn’t cause the driver to stop working, but ok) or my antennas being faulty (again, not going to cause the driver to get stuck). Then they say the support-only device logs are missing for the event and the diagnostics report I have downloaded “isn’t it” (came from the support tools page, but not useful for diagnostics? Strange.)

What happens is that roughly once a week (but occasionally more often) the 2.4Ghz radio drops followed by the 5Ghz radio 5 seconds later. Neither radio will recover, scan, nor connect to any network any longer. If I go into each radio’s settings and toggle ANY setting then save, the radio comes back to life just fine. I’ve been toggling the power modes since it doesn’t alter anything else. Wait another 7 days to rinse and repeat.

I have had this occur once 12 days ago since upgrading to 8.3, I usually run 5ghz wifi wan but I had it it occur when I had both connected to the same network, the 2.4ghz dropped then 5 seconds later the 5ghz dropped, neither recovered and showed scanning… in the UI. The wifi network was fine many other devices using, bringing up network list on pep wave showed no networks in scan list.

Had to disable 2.4ghz and 5ghz and brought the 5ghz back online been fine since. Seems like it’s related to the 2.4ghz being used, but thats just guess, no issues on 5ghz only so far. Nothing of note in event log other than WAN: Wi-Fi WAN 2.4 GHz (Priority 2) disconnected then 5 seconds later WAN: Wi-Fi WAN 5 GHz (Priority 1) disconnected and then a empty log until I manually reset.

Support has flagged a tentative bug and may be releasing a firmware revision soon. Don’t know if it will be a beta or release yet.
