Has anyone been able to get one of these new x65 chip versions of the MAX BR1 Pro 5G to work with either T-Mobile or VZW?
Using the same SIM card from the MAX BR1 Pro 5G x62 version works just fine with both T-Mobile and VZW but as soon as I try to use them in the x65 version, the cellular status just sits on connecting.
We have many of the K modems (X65) working with VZW and TMO with zero issues.
Hi. It’s unlikely it’s a hardware issue, as @ChristopherSpitler suggested (always possible though). My experience with such issues:
- It’s most likely your configuration. Triple-check it.
- Ensure the SIM is provisioned and is appropriate for the device in which you are using it (e.g., for most carriers, no “tablet plans” or “phone plans” in a router). I think you may be OK on this one.
- Ensure the FW is current.
- Check and see if the modem FW needs to be updated.
In my experience, most issues are fixed with the first step.
The same SIM cards from both VZW and T-Mobile work perfectly in the X62 version of this BR1 Pro 5G.
I have 4 of these radios (x62) deployed and working. This x65 version will be my 5th. Its running Radio FW (M0R.140006(45.00.146_7955-060220) which is the latest OTA version available.
Device FW is 8.5.3 build 6030 on both the x62 and the new x65 version.
Unless there is some sort of special SIM/Plan provisioning that needs to happen with the x65 version, I don’t understand how this could be working just fine with same model, different HW rev.
OK. And, you’ve checked your config (not just copied/imported/cloned/used IC2), as per my first point? If so, and it still does not work I’d enter a ticket with support.
