MAX BR1 Pro 5G (New X65) Will not connect to carrier

Has anyone been able to get one of these new x65 chip versions of the MAX BR1 Pro 5G to work with either T-Mobile or VZW?
Using the same SIM card from the MAX BR1 Pro 5G x62 version works just fine with both T-Mobile and VZW but as soon as I try to use them in the x65 version, the cellular status just sits on connecting.

We have many of the K modems (X65) working with VZW and TMO with zero issues.

Hi. It’s unlikely it’s a hardware issue, as @ChristopherSpitler suggested (always possible though). My experience with such issues:

  1. It’s most likely your configuration. Triple-check it.
  2. Ensure the SIM is provisioned and is appropriate for the device in which you are using it (e.g., for most carriers, no “tablet plans” or “phone plans” in a router). I think you may be OK on this one.
  3. Ensure the FW is current.
  4. Check and see if the modem FW needs to be updated.
In my experience, most issues are fixed with the first step.

The same SIM cards from both VZW and T-Mobile work perfectly in the X62 version of this BR1 Pro 5G.

I have 4 of these radios (x62) deployed and working. This x65 version will be my 5th. Its running Radio FW (M0R.140006(45.00.146_7955-060220) which is the latest OTA version available.
Device FW is 8.5.3 build 6030 on both the x62 and the new x65 version.

Unless there is some sort of special SIM/Plan provisioning that needs to happen with the x65 version, I don’t understand how this could be working just fine with same model, different HW rev.

OK. And, you’ve checked your config (not just copied/imported/cloned/used IC2), as per my first point? If so, and it still does not work I’d enter a ticket with support.
