MAX BR1 Panic Button

We are currently looking into the possibility of having a panic button attached to a MAX BR1 router. Does anybody have any experience with this? And if yes what have you done.

Have used these before in lone worker installs (cabins for security guards for example).

That looks promising, was it setup such that if the button was pressed then it went to a phone? We just need it to go over the network and alert at the other end.

Yes it was. It registers with a VoIP server and can then dial a number and play a prerecorded message.

I would suggest that you want more than that.

If a lone worker presses an alarm you want to make sure that the alarm gets heard by someone and they can respond. We actually built a call tree app for this application called CallEcho, where the recorded message was played to the phone system and it then relentlessly called a list of people until one of them listened to the recording and pressed #2 to accept it as their responsibility to follow up on it.
