My MAX BR1 MK2 would not establish 4G/LTE conection Vodafone Greece and would drop to 3G connection after trying to get an IP. Per Vodafone Greece the only setting I needed was APN, which I set to internet.vodafone.gr
I also have Google FI sim and when I switch to it it connects to LTE with no issues. However, I would rather use Vodafone SIM as it is unlimited and much less expensive. Anyone here is using Vodafone or has some insights on what I could try? Thank you for your help!
It sounds like this is a SIM card issue. If things are working well with the GoogleFi SIM, that might imply some operator is working well in your area as GoogleFi SIM is a roaming SIM.
You might want to put that Vodafone SIM on another device (could be your phone) to see if shows the same? Also, you might want to check with your SIM provider that your APN is correct/latest.
