Hi,
I’ve noticed some of my MAX BR1 Mini "Core "units running the same version of router firmware have different versions of cellular firmware.
Most have M0F.660006 but some have 20.00.505 which is what my non-core MAX-BR1 Mini units show.
Are their two different cellular modules used in these?
I’ve seen some Core units I open tickets on get identified as a regular Max-BR1 Mini and thought may be related.
Thanks
They should be a different cellular module. You may verify at the device level as below.
Thanks TK_Liew, I hadn’t noticed that hidden data before.
Any idea on why a regular Mini and a Mini-Core on the same firmware version and have the same cellular modem have different versions of cellular firmware, example below? I’ve had a lot of trouble with the Core models losing cellular connectivity and then not working again and needing to be replaced. Haven’t had the same issues with the other models.
It is depending when the device was sold. Normally, a recent product comes with the latest firmware version. This is the reason we improved InControl2 to do an upgrade for cellular firmware.
Have you opened ticket? If so, can I have the ticket number for me to review?
Thanks.
