Hello,
Using MAX BR1 Mini, I can create a bonded connection to SpeedFusion Cloud, but I can not create a bonded connection to another device.
Is this by design, or am I missing a feature activation that would enable a bonded connection also to another remote Peplink device?
The screenshot shows that with the connection to SFC-HEL-012 cloud, both Cellular and Wi-FI WAN connections are bonded, however with the other remote peer (peplink device) only Cellular is active and Wi-Fi WAN is on standby. In the SpeedFusion configuration in InControl2 it is not possible to set different WANs with same priority.
Please clarify, thanks!

Hello, Indrek.
Do you have the following license?
MAX-BR1-MINI-LC-FS - Failover software license and related feature set for BR1-MINI, enables Ethernet and Wi-Fi WAN
Hi,
I don’t know where to check for this license.
I have these features activated
Feature Pack for MAX BR1 Mini
SpeedFusion Cloud Activation by Standard Warranty (SFC-CLD-B)
The device is running Firmware 8.3.0 and is
MAX-BR1-MINI-LTEA-B-T-PRM
MAX BR1 Mini
APAC & EMEA | LTE-A | CAT-6 | PrimeCare
I found this license now in the Store, but seems it can not be applied to the product.
Hi.
Look at the dashboard of your BR1.
Do you have WAN option?
Look at my screen below.
looking at IC2 I can see the device WAN license.

the problem appears in InControl2 at this step:
ok. now… check at your vpn profile… Do you select priority 1 for all WAN connections that you want to use?
Strange… I don’t use IC2… just use it for reports… Because this… I am send for you configurations in the device.
okay, thanks! i will try to see if i can set up from device
On the device admin, I can not set multiple WANs to “1 (Highest)” like seen in the picture. Once I try to sett a second connection to “1 (Highest)” the other one is automatically set to something else.
Your device looks different - you have 2 modem device (Cell 1 and Cell 2). I only have a 1 modem device, so probably it does not support this approach. Although, it is strange that bonding works with Cloud Connect, but not with remote device.
Sorry… many devices at my side… Now… looking at BR1… change wansmoothing on NORMAL.
You will now can enable HIGH for all connections.
Device Information
Model:
Pepwave MAX BR1 Mini
Firmware:
8.2.1s153 build 5214
ok, this seems to have worked. i tried the same setting in InControl2 and it also worked. Thanks!
this is interesting. in InControl, after I set all priorities to 1 and save the configuration, i can then go and disable WAN Smoothing, and re-save configuration, and it then works!
