MAX_BR1_A14A ... No Internet over WIFI connection, but there is Internet over LAN

Hello I am using a MAX BR1 Mini Hardware Version 1, with Firmware 8.3.0 and I am having a No Internet over WIFI connection issue, but I do have Internet over LAN. I tried going back to default factory settings, which did not resolve, and then I tried updating my firmware to 8.3.0 from 8.0, but have also had no luck. I also tried changing WIFI to “open security” to rule out any connection issue, but this has not helped either.

I appreciate any help with this issue.

Hello, Neal.
I am using the BR1 hw1 at the same way at you, using yours.
But… It was in 8.2.1s153 build 5214. Just update it to 8.3.0 build 5244.

How you prioritize WANs connections?
1 - WiFi WAN
2 - LAN
3 - LTE

Also… Because I am using the 2.4GHz as WiFi WAN, I am not using at the same time as a WiFi AP.

Let’s start with the “simple stuff.”

  1. From your client computer, do you see the wi-fi SSID broadcast?
  2. Is the wi-fi AP shown as on on the router’s GUI dashboard?
  3. From your client computer, do you see the client connected to the router via wi-fi?
  4. Can you ping the router from your LAN client?
  5. From your client can you ping 8.8.8.8?
  6. From your client can you ping www.amazon.com ?

Hello Rick. I forgot to mention that I can connect to the router over WIFI, and have access to the Dashboard at the default 192.168.50.1 address.

It turns out it was the DNS settings, so thanks Rick for pointing me in the right direction.
