I have a question regarding the Peplink Captive Portal feature.
We would like to allocate and manage data usage for both general users and machines within our network through the Captive Portal. General users can be controlled through Open Access or user-login-based authentication. However, the machines used for solution uploads cannot complete a login process or pass through the splash page using Open Access, so their data usage cannot be managed through this feature.
Using Allowed Networks would allow these machines to access the Internet, but it appears that we would not be able to control or limit their data usage.
Is there any way to manage a monthly data allowance for these machines—for example, by assigning a fixed amount of data per device without requiring user login?
One of our competitors offers a feature that allocates and controls data usage based on IP addresses without requiring login authentication. Please let us know if Peplink has a similar method, configuration, or alternative solution.
