Looking for advice for an outdoor AP for residential use

I have a Balance One and need an outdoor AP and I am looking for guidance. I see the AP pro AX but once I add the antenna and support it looks like it will cost $1260. Is there a cheaper option?

Mark, welcome to the forum!

The only outdoor AP from Peplink is the one you noted: AP One AX. There are a few other ways you could accomplish this maybe at a lesser price by using an Antenna Max with the rugged AP, or even a separate BR1 (that would make it on a separate network, but that’s not necessarily a better solution and, depending on what environment you’re in, it could be a worse solution.

Just a note, do remember that the Care Plan is included for the first year, so the total MSRP would be a bit less than you noted. I recommend reaching out to your preferred Peplink partner (if you don’t have one, we can support, just DM me) to discuss your solution, options, and to get a quote for pricing.

Christopher,
Thank you very much for the clarification. Since I am a residential user, I do not normally have a Peplink partner. I will DM you to get a quote. I have 3 other pepwave AP’s and I like the centralized management. I bought my wife a BirdBuddy for Christmas and it has a built-in wifi camera and that is when I noticed I needed a better outdoor wifi solution.

Something like this can work really well to waterproof the indoor Peplink AP mini and AP One’s
