LAN Clients Access Control

Hello,
I don’t know if this is the correct place to post, but it would be nice to have something like:

A client authentication method. When this method is enabled/selected by the user then when a client connects, is inhibited by default. It has no inbound, outbound and local network access. Only when explicitly authenticated/enabled by the administrator start having access. It could be something like the photoshopped picture below.

I would like to ask if the above client handling can be done in an alternative way. Maybe thru the firewall rules?

Thank you very much for your time.

Did anything ever happen to this? I too would like to implement LAN (or VLAN) level MAC Address access control similar to the access control in the SSID settings, but for the entire LAN (or VLAN) regardless of whether the connection is via wire or WiFi.

We use Outbound Firewall Rules and Grouped Networks to block devices.
You can then easily add/remove devices from the Grouped Networksas you see fit.
