Ref.: #35617, 35633
Details:
We received reports from users indicating that, in some cases, after enabling Synergy Mode or rebooting devices configured in this mode, the Synergy Controller failed to re-establish synchronization with the synergized devices, which caused issues for the synergized WAN connections.
The Engineering team has identified the issue, which is caused by a bug in the firmware handling of the secure connection between the Synergy Controller and the synergized devices. This bug causes the devices to fail to establish synchronization. A firmware improvement and upgrade are required to prevent Synergy Mode–enabled devices from encountering this issue.
We have prepared a special firmware (8.5.3s139) to mitigate the issue. The fix will be included in the next GA release.
Affected firmware version:
8.5.x GA
Affected models:
All device models that support Synergy Mode.
- Upgrading the Synergy Controller alone will resolve the issue, and upgrading the synergized devices is optional.
Fixed in firmware version:
8.5.3s139

NOTE:
There was a special firmware, 8.5.3s127 prepared earlier to fix the issue, however, we highly recommend loading 8.5.3s139 for comprehensive fixes.
