Trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on a new pepwave router. For those of you who use T-Mobile’s band 71, do you think it makes a big difference having access to this, or is it more of a “useful once in a while/handful of situations” kind of thing? Thanks.
I did a product demo yesterday and the site only had access to Band 71. If I could go back in time, I would have purchased a router that could handle it.
Wouldnt it depends on location, tower. Etc?
As @mystery suggested, my answer would be “it depends.” If you are a TMO customer band 71 (600MHz) is likely to be valuable when you are far from a tower or for other reasons higher frequencies won’t work. TMO does not have a lot of spectrum there and it’s not the fastest band but having 71 available could be very valuable in certain situations. B71 is less important in areas which have good coverage.
