ipv6 on Pepwave MAX BR1 Mini and OpenVPN

I am in an area that use ipv6 for public addressing, at least on the cell network.
I don’t have anything special but vanilla setup other than router acting as OpenVPN client and an outbound policy set to use it.

Anecdotal evidence shows that PepLink becomes unusable or unstable if it gets an ipV6 WAN DHCP address.
At the moment I got an IPv4 address and it behaves/performs normally.
Is there anything special I need to do on the router to normalize it behavior? I clicked through the settings and couldn’t really find anything on IPv6.
Firmware: 8.2.0 build 5167

I noticed similarly odd behavior with OpenVPN client on my Windows laptop.
Under IPv6 tunnel preference I selected IPv4 tunnel, and it normalized.
I see no such option in OpenVPN settings on the router.

it’s a work around for me, as my phone as a good sim card, but I’d prefer to use the router for data and to connect to the necessary VPN.

Thank you.

I opened a ticket with PepLink…
I also upgraded to 8.2.1
Wish they had employees/product folks participate in these forums.
Frankly, the PepLink device for the money paid for it has been disappointing. Any time I use it heavily (whenever I travel) it fails to deliver. It’s been good for being able to attach antennas and looking professional/commercial. I’ve been lucky that my phone was able to perform fine as a router/AP on the same cell network(s) and that I can afford to have a sim card sitting in the router doing nothing.
