IP passtrough without DHCP

Hi i have a Peplink MAX BR1 Pro 5G. I get a static trough cellular 5G, I have enabled ip passtrough since i need a static ip for my palo alto router behind the router. Problem is that from what i can figure out from the tool tip on the passtrough setting i need to set up palo alto to ask for the ip adress using DHCP. Because palo alto is wierd for other settings i need to set a static IP on the interface to the peplink router. Can i set the ip in PA to the one who is supposed to be passed trough? It doesent ask for it with dhcp, but its the only thing connected so no one should lease the ip?

One temporary way im considering is setting the default lease time to several days and enable dhcp in pa for a brief time and then change it to static. Can the lease time be changed for ip passtrough?

One other problem im having is that the links in the tooltip doesent go anywhere or the section they are trying to reach doesent exist …

You can set a static IP on the Palto Alto WAN.

DHCP on the LAN in passthrough mode is there on the Peplink for when the IP changes (either because the operator uses CGNAT and DHCP or because you have multiple cellular links/SIMs in failover) but if you have a static IP on a single SIM it won’t change and you know what the IP is so setting it statically will be fine.

Do you know what the gateway will be? If not, like you suggested setting the PA WAN to be dhcp client then using that info for static assignment on its WAN will be one way to do it.
