Introducing the HD4 MBX!

newsletter-ani-1

Introducing our next-generation quad-cellular router: the HD4 MBX! It can combine the bandwidth of 4 cellular links into an unbreakable, high-speed SD-WAN connection. It features an upgradable cellular module, so you can upgrade to 5G with a simple module swap.

The HD4 MBX supports ignition sensing, which can turn the device on or off depending on the vehicle ignition status. It also has a fanless design, so it can operate in high-particle environments. The HD4 MBX also comes with 8x802.3at PoE ports for powering your devices and simplifying your cabling, and can deliver 802.11ac Wi-Fi

Can you put the two radio 5G expansion module (EXM-MBX-T2-5GD) onto the HD4 MBX?

Hello @Rory_Conaway,
The dual 5G MBX expansion module is intended only to get used with the MBX HD2.
For the MBX HD4, the quad 5G MBX expansion module is the intended upgrade.

Technically, we expect you can change MBX expansion modules between the HD2 & HD4, though it is not officially supported. You could always order the dual 5G MBX expansion module and see how you go, though no guarantees.

Happy to Help,
Marcus
