InTouch should not consume Speefusion Connect volume

Hi!

Currently, using speedtouch is only possible, if there is Speedfusion Connect volume left, although it is not (technically) using Speedfusion Connect!

In my opinion, that is neither logical nor correct. InTouch should be independent and not ‘cross-licensed’ with a fully different product.

Regards

InTouch works by securely providing OOBM inbound to a remote device via a VPN tunnel that is created outbound from it to a cloud hosted service.

That VPN tunnel consumes bandwidth. Someone has to pay for that bandwidth.

I suppose it would be nice if we could select our own VPN tunnel to our own FusionHub or other Peplink appliance instead of using SpeedFusion Connect bandwidth, but for ‘normal’ users that don’t have additional appliances it makes sense to use the SpeedFusion Connect data allowance.

Hi!

Maybe, i was not precise:
At least with an OnPrem IC2 there is no cloud involved - so nobody else has to pay for my traffic

you were not - thats ok.

For ICVA I get why you’re asking the question now. One for Peplink to consider.
