Hi Team, helicopter manufacturer ‘Teledyne FLIR’, is wondering if the Mobility 40G antenna documentation could be updated to reflect a wind rating of at least 288 Km/h. This wind rating is a requirement for any 3rd party add-on equipment for their helicopters.
Hi Jon,
if the mounting option is NOT L-mount, then yes, we can update to 288 Km/h. Would it be possible to get more details how they plan to install the antenna?
Thank you Giedrius, they are surface mounting it to the bottom of the helicopter.
Can you update the datasheet to reflect the wind rating when flush/surface mounting?
sure, let us work on this.
Giedrius, thank you. See pictures of the actual mount. I would consider it flush mounted as well, since it’s on their handmade mount.
Also, I just received another request on this. If we could get it rated up to 322Kmh/200MPH that would help on another use case, which is a Cessna Caravan 208 fixed wing aircraft. This too will be flush mounted by the installed on the belly aircraft.
Hi Jon,
I will need to check with the team about 322kmh / 200mph. Will get back to you
