I am replacing a Peplink SD Switch 24-Port 850W with a Peplink 24 PoE 2.5G Switch. It is connected to a Peplink Balance Two for WAN access, as well as 4 local Peplink APs (One AX or Pro AX).
After configuring the new switch ports all APs are online and can reach the internet. However, InControl2 shows that they are all offline. As a test I connected one of the APs directly to the Balance Two and it is now online in InControl2.
I have carefully reviewed all of the settings on the new switch (which are quite limited compared to the old one) but I can’t find anything that might explain this behavior. I have also reviewed the knowledgebase article on this topic with no success (FAQ: Why does my device appear "offline" on InControl 2 even though the device has an internet connection?). Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks
Is your defaul (untagged) vlan the same?
Solved: it turns out this is a firmware bug. This was explained by Teong-Kiat Liew at Peplink (paraphrased as follows):
Change the switch ports to Access and then set it back to Trunk all with PVID as Untagged Default as a workaround.
