How to enable failover from SIM A to eSIM

Hello,

I’m having trouble getting my Max Adapter to use both the T-Mobile SIM (SIM A) and the Peplink eSIM free 1GB that came with it.

I want it to switch from SIM A to eSIM when T-Mobile inevitably drops out, (which happens a lot) and then switch back again when the cell signal is picked back up. I thought that having both sims enabled with “Failback to Preferred SIM when” has 'Non-preferred SIM is connected for x minutes" enabled. I have the Nano-SIM priority 1 and the eSIM priority 2. What am I missing?

The SIM failover is for a SIM that fails to connect to the network entirely or reaches a bandwidth limit. What you’re trying to accomplish (SIM is connected but health check/traffic is failing) requires a dual modem router, where you failover to another modem (with another SIM).

Gotcha, thanks.

I was having trouble having it connect to either of them also, but a firmware upgrade seems to have solved it.

@Giedrius @Eddy_Yeung Is this like the same issue you and I discussed?
Can this be enhanced?
Ideally Sims should continue to scan to always get a connection when more then one are checked.
