I have a Max BR1 Mini with WiFi with v8.5.2 firmware (latest as of this writing).
On my Dashboard I have a “Cellular” and “WAN” for my connections. When I click on “Cellular” I see both SIM A and SIM B cards checked and enabled, and both are working.
Can I separate the SIM cards into 2 connections, say call them “Cellular 1” and “Cellular 2” so I can combine them in Speed Fusion Control? Is this possible on the Mini? Or are the 2 SIM connections already aggregated by virtue of both of them being on the same “Cellular” connection?
I hope that makes sense.
Your BR1 has only one modem, consequently it supports only one cellular connection at a time. The two SIM slots provide you with the opportunity to choose which SIM/carrier to use (if both are available) and variations on that (e.g., determine primary and backup carrier, or alternating between the two).
In order to combine multiple connections with speedfusion, you have to have multiple active connections. E.g., one cellular and another a wired WAN. Or a dual-modem router, such as the BR2, or employing multiple cellular routers by means of synergy mode.
Cheers,
Z
I understand now. I do have a Starlink connected to WAN that I set up in SpeedFusion along with the Cellular connection. Thanks!
