Hot Failover / WAN as LAN, Feature Pack on Pepwave Max BR1 Mini on private networks

After updating my Pepwave Max BR1 Mini firmware from 8.2.0 to 8.3.0, I no longer see the message at the bottom of the dashboard about activating new features. The 8.3.0 Firmware release notes make it sound as though the new firmware automatically enables Hot Failover / LAN as WAN features without buying the additional license, but I’m not seeing WIFI WAN or LAN as WAN like previous BR1 Mini’s I have activated the Feature Pack on. I am on private networks with no internet access, so using the InControl subscriptions is not an option. Do I still need to buy the Feature Pack License to allow one of the LAN ports to be used for Hot Failover / LAN as WAN?

I would first update the firmware to 8.3.1 as there were some release note changes and it will effect featured that are available.
You can try the following:
Status page → SpeedFusion WAN Smoothing & Link Load Balancing → Trial (if you have option)

Connect once to internet, with incontrol2 enabled to activate the free 1year primecare features.
Manually add your feature pack activation code to the br1 mini hw3.

The latest I see for the BR1 Mini HW1-2 is 8.3.0, though it appears if you have a Br1 Mini Core or BR1 Mini HW3 that there is an 8.3.1 firmware.

Regardless of the firmware update, using 8.3.0 I did verify that I can activate the trial for Speed Fusion/WAN Smoothing an the wired WAN option appeared. That to me, confirms that I need to buy the license since my devices are on a private Network, and the subscriptions won’t work.

The subscription is only for hw3 as that’s when they turned it to PrimeCare.
For hw1-2 you need the license.
If you want to send me a pm with your serial I can order it for you.
