Help with Configuring IoT Access Rules - HEOS built-in AVR and HEOS App

Greetings!

Router: B One
I recently purchased a HEOS “built-in” AVR. It has minimal physical controls, as such requiring the HEOS app, which is installed on a dedicated, not-for-personal-use Amazon Fire Tablet.

As I want to isolate these devices/functions, I have a dedicated VLAN with inter-vlan routing not enabled. The VLAN has an SSID with Layer 2 isolation not enabled. The AVR is connected via Ethernet to a VLAN assigned port. The Fire Tablet connects via VLAN SSID. Although I do not know much about it, I’ve read to enable IGMP Snooping and Multicast Filter and have done so.

I cannot get the HEOS app to discover the AVR. I’ve not come across any definitive resource as to what ports need to be open and whether such are managed via Inbound, Outbound or Internal Network Access Rules.

If anyone has experience with HEOS, or a similar implementation, or just basic configuration items I need to consider, I’d appreciate learning of such.

Thanks!

Although Peplink supports UDP / multicast relay between VLANs on their routers IGMP relay is only supported on their switches, so you’ll need to add a switch to isolate the devices on separate VLANs.

Thanks, Martin!
I’ll give adding the switch a try.
