I recently purchased a secondhand device from a local flea market. When I try to add the device’s serial number to my InControl2 account, I cannot proceed because it is already registered to another user.
The previous owner apparently sold the device to a scrap dealer because they no longer needed it, and I purchased it from there. Because of this, I do not know the name of the person or the company the device is currently registered to.
I am now the rightful owner of the device. Could you please advise me on what steps I need to take to remove the old registration so I can add it to my own InControl2 account?
Regarding your inquiry about removing the second-hand device from the current InControl2 organization:
If the device is registered to a previous owner, we cannot remove or transfer the registration without explicit authorization from the original owner due to privacy and security policies.
