Hardware Recommendations

I currently have a Balance 20X on the main level and an AP One AC Mini on the second level. I would like to upgrade our networking equipment to address two issues, and I’m looking for any advice or suggestions.

  1. We have a 1 gig fiber connection, and I would like a router that can handle a symmetrical 1 gig connection. The Balance 20X seems to top out at 400-500 Mbps throughput (out the WAN) in my testing, though it consistently gets 900+Mbps throughput within the LAN. (All tests performed via Ethernet.) We don’t need cellular capabilities.
  2. I would like to upgrade the Wi-Fi on our premises to provide Wi-Fi 7 throughout.

In the real world, would the B One provide symmetrical 1 gigabit WAN throughouput?

If not, what’s the next most affordable option to get that level of WAN throughput?

Does Peplink have (or is Peplink planning to release) a router that has Wi-Fi capabilities comparable to the new AP One Enterprise (2026) that supports Wi-Fi 7?

I was thinking about getting a pair of AP One Enterprise (2026) access points, but it would be nice if I didn’t have to pay for the Wi-Fi components of a new router (e.g., the B One) when I don’t plan to use them.

Thanks for any suggestions.
