I am looking into installing two Max-S units with BR1-Pro-5G devices to provide connectivity for a passenger bus, while ensuring satellite connectivity resilience. What would be the best implementation approach: using Synergy Mode between the two BR1-Pro units, or perhaps setting up a wireless mesh solution—even if it means sacrificing one of the devices’ Wi-Fi radios?
Regards.
Hello, @Sergio_Aparicio
Are you planning to install Starlink in each one of the MAX-S unit?
The main issue… wil be the WiFi coverage, because the BR1pro will be at the outside of bus and passenger will be inside of the bus, with metal around then. This will affect the WiFi coverage.
About WiFi coverage: Both WiFi antennas, must be inside of the bus.
To avoid fail communications… I will sugest cable between all Starlink dish and the Br1pro.
Hello @MarceloBarros.
I have conducted tests using a MAX-S antenna mounted on the bus roof, and the Wi-Fi network performs well inside. My goal is to enhance resilience by adding a second MAX-S with Starlink, while ensuring that the Wi-Fi networks of both BR1-Pro units operate as a single entity—maintaining a unified SSID inside and allowing management from a single point.
