Group GPIO Profiles

Hi!
We are right now in the process of editing the GPIO for several devices in a group.
I just looked in IC2 and noticed that there is a “Group Setting” now for GPIO.

I created a GPIO Profile with the relevant parameters and created a separate tag for a test device to see how this works.

However the configuration never gets pushed to the “MAX BR2 Pro”, in the dashboard I can see that “Last Config Applied” was a few days ago.

Currently our MAX is running 8.5.4 build 6264

I’m relative new to Peplink hence not sure if I can force a config update or somehow troubleshoot why it doesn’t get pushed as the profile has been created.

Is this feature to new and we need some other software? Don’t think I’ve seen this like a month ago and I’ve seen some feature requests on the forum regarding this.

Hello André,
Welcome to the Peplink Community Forum.

There are several factors that can prevent InControl2 from being pushed out to Peplink devices, including settings on the Peplink device that effectively put it into monitoring-only mode.

Have a look at the local devices web admin (under System / InControl) and check that the settings are as shown here, with “Controller” set to “InControl” and “Restricted to Status Reporting Only” unticked.

Who is your local Certified Peplink Partner that you brought your Peplink solution from (https://www.peplink.com/buy/peplink-certified-partners/)? They are the best equipped people to help you get the most out of your Peplink solution.

If you get stuck, post what country you’re based in, and a local active Peplink Partner may respond. FYI, I’m based in Australia and support the AU/NZ and South Pacific region, you’re welcome to PM me if that’s of benefit.

Have a good day,
Marcus

@AndFor , We will verify the issue. In the meantime, if you could create a ticket for our support team to review the configuration, that would be very helpful.

@AndFor ,

Found that issue. Device need to have firmware 8.6.0 to support the feature.

Super, that explains it :+1:

We’ll most likely update one test router for the beta and then await the release of 8.6.0, thank you for the swift response
