GPS refresh rate and accuracy

G’day I am using several Pepwave Max BR1’s I am wondering what the max refresh rate is on the embedded gps and the achievable accuracy.

Dear @ggunneman,

if we talk about the coordinates, then the fastest reading rate is:

  • Using InControl2 (by default): 30 points per minute. It is configurable at group level, Settings/InControl Options/GPS Location Collection.
  • Using GPS data forwarding from the device: 1 point per second (UI/Advanced/GPS Forwarding)

MAX device location determination accuracy is within few meters. Please also note the the accuracy depends on amount of visible satellites signals, signal absorption obstacles, GPS antenna position.
