Hi,
I am seeing some new behavior (at least in my experience) with Google Fi SIM cards on Peplink routers. First, I just recently started seeing the cellular WAN IP as 192.0.0.2 with gateway of 192.0.0.2. And in some cases we can’t transfer data from client devices over that connection when it has that IP.
Today I have a new issue in that the BR2 Pro 5G has a Google Fi Data SIM in both Modems (via Remote SIM if that matters) and it’s connected and online. But both modems get the same exact 192.0.0.2 address and 192.0.0.1 gateway. Which seems to be causing issue getting a connection out when those modems are both active. With both modems active, even though I am using an outbound policy with priority, I seem to lose connection for both Internet and InControl access.
I started with APN both set to h2g2, but now switched to Auto which seems to work, but still have this duplicate IP and subnet issue across the two modems. I understand that this may be related to IPv6 on the network and IPv4 on the device, but I am not happy/comfortable with the two cell WANs having the same exactly IP configuration.
Any ideas, workarounds, experiences with this?
