I want to use a Peplink two switch between the main provider and GSM backup. Is there a way to use Fusionhub to also run the primary traffic through it? So that I always have my own IP from my Vultr Server, and it never changes no matter what service I run through?
Yes, you can do that. There are a few ways to do it: configure it at the tunnel level, or configure outbound policy (OBP) to do this.
The easiest way to do this if you want to truly have all traffic routed through your FusionHub is to check the box labelled “Send all traffic to remote hub” in your SF tunnel configuration via InControl2:
Thanks. Unfortunately, it is an older device, and I don’t have InControl2 anymore.
I do something similar to force all data to a Vultr server, but I take it a step further. If Vultr goes down, I route all the data through the regular connected SFC path, which is always connected but idle to maintain the connection bonding.
This is configured on the device under Advanced/Outbound Policy, likely as your first rule on the list.
Thanks for all your help!
I have tried for a while, but I guess I can not get a free Fusionhub license for my personal use if I am not under warrenty and have no contract?
No, you should still be able to get one, but you will need to create an InControl2 organization for it as the license is managed through your Peplink ID and InControl. It is ideal though to have at a minimum an InControl2 license so you can benefit from the simple SpeedFusion configuration offered by it.
