Given the problems encountered with the cellular connection due to poor coverage in my area I am thinking of switching to a wired connection.
Unfortunately the only wired connection in my area is the mixed copper fiber FTTC (Fiber to the Cabinet) as fiber optics are not available.
The providers told me that for this type of connection the modem/router must have the following characteristics:
- VDSL2 Support: Standard required for mixed copper fiber connection.
- 8b and 17a Spectra: Support for frequency spectrums used by TIM in FTTC.
- 35b Support (recommended): For better performance.
Technical features: Retransmission, Vectoring and SRA. - additional service Download 2.5 Gbps, presence of a 2.5G base-T port.
Someone could tell me if my Peplink B one 5G has these requirements or if it is possible to adapt it and how?
Thanks.
