Fortinet 60f behind peplink balance

Hi, is this possible to connect a fortigate firewall to peplink balance?

this is how I connected them.
firewall lan1 : 192.168.30.1/24
firewall wan1 : 192.168.20.2/24
peplink lan6 : 192.168.20.1/24
peplink wan1 : public static ip

I also configure the static route of fortigate wan1 192.168.20.1

still does not have an internet connection.

please help.

This is fine. What happens if you plug a laptop into the Peplink LAN6? Do you get an internet connection?

As Martin suggests prove the connectivity from the Peplink works directly first, if so then you need to consider the config on your Foritgate.

From the CLI of the Fortigate can you ping the 192.168.20.1 IP address of the Peplink?

Have you checked the 60F has appropriate rules + NAT config required to use the Peplink for internet access?

If you don’t plan to NAT between the WAN of the Fortigate and LAN of the Peplink then you would also need static return routes on the Peplink side to tell it that the 192.168.30.0/24 block is reachable via 192.168.20.2 else whilst you can send traffic out via the Peplink it will not know how to return traffic to you.

You say you added a default route on the Fortigate - what version of software are you using on the Fortigate - are you using any of the SD-WAN features as if so you need to ensure that there is a firewall policy to direct traffic to the virtual WAN interface and that appropriate rules and config is also done for the SD-WAN side too.

The laptop gets an internet connection. while the fortigate when it is plug into lan6 it does not have an internet connection.
