There are double firmwares, if the updating fails, previous one will be boot up.
Sorry to ask, I am new to peplink and I am doing this for the first time, could you please help me with the step by step procedure.
Just login to administration panel of router and update online. Router connected to internet will download latest firmware and will update.
I have never seen a failed firmware update that has meant I couldn’t access the router.
Peplink’s have dual firmware slots. If you upgrade the firmware to a later version and want to revert to the older one for whatever reason you can login to webui go to System > Reboot and pick the previous firmware to boot from,
My concern is if the router gets stuck during the upgrade and if it goes not accessible
Keep in mind each firmware slot has a separate configuration. So if you make changes after booting one firmware slot, those changes won’t be present when you boot to the other slot.
Factory defaulting the configuration does however reset the config on both slots.
Thanks for information!
