Firmware 8.5.3 custom dns-over-https fails

In Firmware 8.5.3 run on Peplink B-One,
custom DNS-over-https causes all DNS to fail.
This had worked previously.
using control-D for the custom DNS-over-https provider for excellent filtering.

Can replicate this problem consistently.
Workaround is to either:

  1. disable DNS-over-https
  2. use a built-in DNS-over-https provider

Any help appreciated.

Can confirm the same issue (NextDNS DoH Failing).

I might mention we have not had that experience. As I write this Iā€™m looking at an NextDNS account that has a B20X and a B310X on it, both running 8.5.3, and both are resolving fine. At least as of now. ;<)

please open a support ticket with peplink so they can prioritize a fix for the next maintenance release
