Hello Peplink Team,
There are several requests and discussion in the forum for Geo-Blocking going back several years.
Hi guys
We have to set up quite a few Balance devices on an ongoing basis, but there are a whole number of standard entries that are needed for each device. To have the ability in exporting a firewall configuration in a csv/flat file would save a lot of time. With the different models you can’t save/restore the configuration between models.
We are constantly seeing unauthorized IP making attempts at connecting to servers which they should not have access to. 99% of the time the country of origins is outside the USA. We would like to block certain countries from being able to connect for specific ports while still giving them access to general ports such as port 80 etc. Although we can create inbound firewall rules that will block the IP the problem we are facing is that some countries have over 100+ IP network blocks and to create …
Good Afternoon
Could we please have the option to import Firewall rules via CSV.
This would also be great for outbound policy, port forwarding and some other functions.
Something like the DHCP reservation list would be perfect with a dummy file to download showing the different values accepted.

Are there any plans in the near future (for example, FW v8) to implement some sort of geo IP blocking capability so that we can select certain countries and have all inbound and/or outbound traffic for those IPs blocked? This is a feature I’ve been hoping to see for quite some time now.
Is there any possibility that this may become available with FW 8.1.0 upon its upcoming release? It may be useful to let the community know if it can get done or why it can not get done.
Happy to Help,
Marcus
