It would be very helpful if there was a way of setting up firewall rules to send an email when someone tries to “breach” a specific rule (not just any rule).

For example if you’ve blocked port 58129 and there is an attempt to access that port the router would automatically send an email notifying the administrator of the attack.

do notification appear in syslog? perhap the syslog server could send an email?

The syslog server should receive the firewall logging.

And we will consider the firewall logging send through email notification would fit into our road map or not.
