Firewall config to allow "ic2 access only" on the ESIM WAN connection?

I’m setting up my first ESIM cellular connection this week for the sole purpose of troubleshooting an unreliable Starlink & suspected faulty HD1 Dome pro router.

Questions:

  1. Would the simplest and most reliable procedure be as follows:

“ADVANCED” / “OUTBOUND POLICY” / “ADD RULE” /

“SOURCE” = ROUTER IP (192.168.50.1)
“DESTINATION” = “DOMAIN NAME” = ac1.peplink.com ac2.peplink.com /

“ALGORITHM” = ‘ENFORCED’ = ‘WAN:CELLULAR’

  1. Has a similar ‘one click’ setting for this config been added to the ‘feature request list’ yet? (If not, I will submit it).

TIA

A simple approach would be to enable bandwidth metering , and set the cellular to reserve for management only and set a 1mb limit.

Can you share your method settings?

Set the values on the wan of your choice to the values you want.
I have mine set for 1gb , you may want to set yours to 1mb.

So if I have few cellular wans, on one of them i can use your settings and this wan will work only for a management, while others WANs will work like usually?

This setup work only for incontrol2 access or also for access from external connection via this WAN to 192.168.50.1?

Reserve for management will only allow ic2 traffic , i.e. no user traffic.

Ic2 will use any wan that is available based on priority level.
