Failed to activate eSIM profile (Vodafone NL)

Hello,

E-sim is failing to activate
There is no logging or reason of the failure

Carrier: Vodafone NL
Country: Netherlands
QR & Manual input of the ICCID is failing

Hardware: MAX BR1 Pro 5G
Firmware version: 8.4.0 build 5396

Can you open a ticket - Peplink Ticketing System for us to take a closer look?

All the interfaces are active. I have my modem with an active cellular 1 connection and connected as well on a 2.4 Ghz WiFi network. When I try to activate the e-sim on Cellular 2 is failling .

Assuming you have tried the following: QR code image, you have extracted the LPA code from the QR code or been given one from your provider then you should raise a case with support, send the diagnostic file and enable remote access, you should receive help with it.
The code can be used one time only.

I have a similar problem with O2 Germany.
After manual input I get the following message:
Failed to activate eSIM profile. Server communication issue

On cellular eSIM seems to be activated:
Peplink eSIM IMSI: 4XXXXXXXXXXX14 (In Use)
ICCID: 8XXXXXXXXXXXXX31

EventLog says:
2024-02-20 08:10:58 WAN Cellular start BYO eSIM download
2024-02-20 08:11:29 WAN Cellular BYO eSIM download failed (Server communication issue)

Any ideas?

Has anyone managed to confirm whether the Max BR1 Pro 5G is able to support BYO e-SIM’s on firmware v8.4.1

What device are you using, what firmware level?
We are successfully activating verizon esims on the br1 mini 5g, b one 5g, and br1 pro 5g models.
I can test a br2 pro 5g and a 310 fiber 5g this weekend.

I have recently updated the device to the latest firmware version 8.4.1 (build 5474). Despite this, I am still unable to activate a Vodafone eSIM. It appears that certain carriers are using a specialized authentication code that the Peplink device cannot process. I am currently testing this on a BR2 Pro model.
