eSIM priority causes slower cellular connection time

Hi Team,

Please change the default eSIM priority value in cellular settings to 3 or lower.
The current priority value set to 1 causes a long wait time until the cellular modem connects to the BTS with a physical SIM.

eSIM priority should be set to the lowest value, not the highest. I understand the concept of zero-touch provisioning and I think Peplink eSIM is a fantastic enabler for these setups. However, when not in use, Peplink eSIM causes our routers to go online much longer than expected. They first try using Peplink eSIM and only switch to local SIMs after a few minutes, which is way too long.

If Peplink eSIMs were in the lowest priority, a router with a zero-touch scenario would still use it after not detecting a physical SIM.

I agree.
It’s strange that the default FW settings prioritize the Peplink eSIM as Priority 1 and the physical SIM as Priority 2.

The Peplink eSIM service isn’t available in Japan, and it’s also unavailable in some other countries.
