Error: Invalid dnsProxy localRecord ip

I am configuring DNS Proxy Settings at Network → Network Settings.
I often use invalid IP addresses as a blocking mechanism.
Some IPs I use are 0.0.0.0, 0.0.0.1 and even 1.2.3.4
Been doing this a long time
On a B20x running 8.4.1 build 5457, all is well.
On a Surf soho running 8.3.0 build 5122 some of these IPs now cause an error:

Invalid dnsProxy localRecord ip

I have no idea which IPs the firmware is objecting to as they are not flagged in any way.

At least the 1.2.3.4 IP address still works, this is a query against the Surf SOHO

This error message came up in this Forum back in Sept 2023 and it was not addressed

Peplink 380 Balance - Static Routes - Invalid dnsProxy localRecord ip

When I try to add static routes into my peplink for a layer 3 switch vlan to pass off to another router\hop, this is the error message I get. Even if I just try to tell the peplink that there is another network behind another router below the peplink; I get this message. I’ve tried many different ways to go about it; but everytime this message… “Invalid dnsProxy localRecord ip” When I look up this message on internet, never seen it anywhere. What am I missing here?
