Dear all,
I am working on a rapidly deployable contingency solution to support firefighters, police, and civil defense teams during environmental disasters.
I am considering using a MAX antenna, with one of the devices connected directly to Starlink.
Do you have any experience with the MAX antenna? In particular, I would appreciate information regarding:
- Maximum number of concurrent users
- Wi-Fi signal coverage and range
- Performance in emergency or outdoor deployments
Best regards,
Hello @Gaston_Marion,
Welcome to the Peplink Community Forum.
Here are some thoughts on how to get the best outcome for working in Emergency Services:
-
Who is your local Certified Peplink Partner that you brought your Peplink solution from (https://www.peplink.com/buy/peplink-certified-partners/)? They are the best equipped people to help you get the most out of your Peplink solution.
-
The maximum number of users is NOT the real thing to be looking at; look at things like the number of current sessions and what the applications are creating network traffic on the edge device/router.
-
The WAP range varies depending on the model used
If you get stuck, post what country you’re based in, and a local active Peplink Partner may respond. FYI, I’m based in Australia and support the AU/NZ and South Pacific region, you’re welcome to PM me if that’s of benefit.
Have a good week,
Marcus
