I have a Peplink MAX BR1 Mini running 8.5.0 build. This unit is fantastic for failover, the issue that I am having is the ethernet on it keeps dropping connection, between the modem to Mini, and then Mini to the network as well. I am using this as my main router setup. I have tried swapping it out with a new mini, and I am still having the same issue. WIFI connection does still work when the ethernet drops. Also, running on sim card service, it works great for wifi. I am also not able to input my static IP information. I can input it in my PC, and it work just fine, but again the Mini is not able to handle it, but DHCP does work.
Try putting a cheap switch between the router and modem. I had a bunch of problems with autonegotiation between my modem and B One until I threw a $10 switch between and haven’t had one problem in the ~18 months since.
Thank you, tried that, I am still not able to get my static IP address to work in the Peplink. I am able to get the IP to work on my computer, and a “cheaper” router.
I’d contact your reseller and if they don’t have any further suggestions open a case with Peplink support (assuming the device is new or under PrimeCare).
