Does the ACW-791 utilise a standard Micro-Fit pin configuration?

I purchased an ACW-791 to utilise in my Teltonika RUTXR1. However, its pin configuration appears to differ from it:

Is this because it’s designed for a different purpose, or is MOLEX Micro-Fit somehow this unstandardised? Regardless, is a compatible version sold?

I ask because it’s the sole Micro-Fit to USB-C connector in existence.

Peplink, sierra wireless, Cradlepoint with 4 molex power connector working well with ACW-791.
Teltonika did different pinout, no idea why.

The pinouts on the RUTXR1 (and I assume all Teltonikas) are different to the Peplink pinouts.

So, is Teltonika violating the MOLEX Micro-Fit standard that PEPLINK adheres to (or the opposite)? Does a standard even exist? I’d assume that there’s some niche IEEE or IEC standard for it, but I’ve no idea what it’d be, much less whether compliance is expected.

This could explain why modular PSU cables are not inter-compatible. Perhaps, even if a standard exists, it’s rarely adhered to, and PEPLINK is merely one of the goodies that does.

Nice diagram, I like it , thanks @MartinLangmaid

I’m not convinced there is a written standard. However if you look at the off the shelf cable assemblies you can buy from Molex themselves for a 2x2 pin arrangement like this they clearly follow the same pinout has peplink (and others) with ping 3 as Gnd and Pin 4 as Power/Voltage.

However there are third party cables that have the same pinout as Teltonika.

And the PC ATX cables (the larger mini fit plug type) are different again with pins 1+2 as power and 3+4 as ground.

So i think we just can’t make any assumptions about pin out for this connector format.
