Does firmware update checker really work?

I’m on firmware 6.1.0

and just wondering if i press ‘check for update’ in the web interface, does it actually check and download an update if there is one?

I’m asking because when I last updated it, I had to do it manually and that never actually saw that there was any update.

Yes it will contain the updated firmware once released/added to firmware server.

6.1 was not added to this as it does require a unlock key, if you were previously on 5.4.9 going to 6.1.
