Do I need to purchase Feature Pack for MAX BR1 Mini Cat 7 to use campground wi-fi on wirelesss devices? DOuse it come free for the 1st year?

You used to have to buy a feature pack for the BR1 mini to use WiFI WAN like this- not any more so long as it is in active Primecare cover (included in year1) you get all the features now.

That’s really good to hear. After the 1st year then I will need to purchase the feature pack yearly then?

The BR1 Mini just needs to have an active Primecare subscription. That’s $49/year from year 2.

Hi Martin, Maybe I am missing something but went to activate proimecare and entered teh serial number and wants to charge me $49 for 1 year, is there a way to activate the 1st year free? -thanks

If it’s a new unit you need to upgrade to 8.3.1 and have it in incontrol2 ,then it will activate ,you only pay after the first year is up

Ok, I have purchased and set up In Control but the wifi networks like mcdonalds and others including my hot spot are still not showing up. Its not too big of a deal at the moment because I have a sim card in the unit but sure would love the free wifi as well. is there something else i need to set up or a setting I am missing? -thanks

What version of the firmware are you using, they included the feature pack since 8.3.1
