DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRIMECARE AND SPEEDFUSION CONNECTION PROTECT

Hello Team,
Please I would like to know the difference between primecare and speedfusion connection protect. If I subscribe to connection protect will I enjoy wan smoothing, bonding and speedfusion.
Standing by for your responses.

Essentially:

  • PrimeCare is a support contract / warranty / licence bundle package.
  • SpeedFusion Connect Protect (I see they rebranded it again…) is a cloud service offered by Peplink to provide you with a SpeedFusion tunnel.

Which do you need?

Well, that depends…

Some devices require upkeep of PrimeCare to enable certain features - consider a Balance 310-5G, without PrimeCare you cannot use InControl2, or use SF bonding when connecting to your own FusionHub, those are feature enabled by PrimeCare along with also including the extended hardware warranty.

You could however let PrimeCare lapse on the 310-5G if it did not add any features or cover that you were worried about using, and instead purchase an SFCP service and with that they enable the use of bonding and so on to the hosted serveres.

Thanks Will.
This is well appreciated.
